Auto Screenshot

The Auto Screenshot plugin partially automates the process of adding screenshots resource records. Using the plugin's preferences, sets of resources can be excluded from this automatic process based on Flag metadata fields.  To function, a copy of wkhtmltoimage must be placed in plugins/AutoScrenshot/bin.

Use

Once enabled, a background task will generate screenshots for resources which lack one.  The autogenerated screenshots are placed in a queue for manual approval and displayed on the EditResource screen so that they can be approved as resources are catalogged. Once approved, these screenshots will appear as thumbnails on the FullRecord page, in search results, and on the front page of your CWIS site.

Caveats

• Requires a copy of wkhtmlimage. Currently, pre-built copies are only available for linux on i386 or amd64
• Your server must be configured so that PHP can run external programs
