Tags

The Tags plugin provides folksonomy-style tagging of resources with a user-driven vocabulary, similar to sites like Flickr and Twitter. Allowing users to tag resources can encourage more user participation, increase the value and usefulness of the site, and give collection administrators insight into how the resource collection is used.

The plugin has a flexible privilege and control system that allows system administrators to specify who may add tags to a resource, who may remove another user's tags, when additional user privileges are necessary to remove tags, and which words or phrases should not be allowed. This allows for nearly any setup imaginable, from allowing anyone to add and remove to tags to allowing only a core group of trusted users to add or remove them.
